About Ben

My name is Ben Aldred, currently living in Manchester, England. I work for the BBC making web apps and attempting a little innovation here and there. This is my little corner of the web. I hope you like it!

Elevator Pitch

I am a Ruby developer (mainly Rails) who is passionate about agile artistry and pragmatic practices. I use RSpec for BDD, Git for source control and Textmate for editing code.

I am a pretty handy front-end developer and like to create simple, easy to use interfaces built with standards-based markup, CSS and occasional sprinklings of Microformats. I also harbour secret desires to be a part-time web designer.
